Opposition Leader Hon. Ezzard Miller says he welcomes the UK’s commitment to continue to work around the issues between Cayman and Britain.
Mr. Miller made the comment while attending Monday’s (14 May) UK leg of Cayman’s Coat of Arms celebrations at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
He said the event gave Cayman a good opportunity to show London that this country has a lot to offer and it appreciates all aspects of its history.
“The Coat of Arms represents all of our history. It represents our connection to the United Kingdom, it represents the period of time when we were under Jamaica. So we are not ashamed of our history, we have a huge, great history, a great culture and we just need to let the UK people know who we are, what we are and what wonderful people we are,” Mr. Miller said.
Mr. Miller and the Opposition delegation return to Cayman tonight (16 May.)
