Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) is celebrating World Oceans Day this weekend, joining the international March for the Oceans.
The march departs from Royal Palms Saturday 9 June. Participants are encouraged to bring signs and wear their ocean colours.
The route is short – just over ‘the rise’ into Camana Bay cinemas for an ocean experience on the big screen.
“They will be treated to our live dive, our reefs go live experience, with [CCMI Science & Education Manger] Katie [Correia] in the mask, live from Little Cayman talking about the topic, can coral reefs be saved,” said CCMI Project Manager Robyn Larkin. “We will be able to share with people directly from the reefs in Little Cayman just how magnificent they are and how people can do their part to save coral reefs.”
The march and the reefs go live experience are free to the public. More information can be found at this link.
