Davenport Development takes over monitoring tyre-derived aggregate

Davenport development may be taking over supervision on the South Sound tyre-derived aggregate that has been causing some fires. The developer is in the process of installing a sprinkler system to cool the area where the aggregate is being used as ground fill.

Chief Fire Officer David Hails said the hot spots in the stack of aggregate were contained and the areas affected pose no danger to the public or the surrounding homes.
