One man remains in police custody on Wednesday (31 October) morning, while another is fighting for his life after a violent altercation and collision in George Town.According to an RCIPS media release, the incident happened just before 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday night (30 October.)Police say officers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a fight on Shedden Road in the vicinity of Martin Drive in George Town. Police believe the incident took place among several men, one of whom was armed with a machete.One of the men involved in the incident was struck on the head and received a laceration. He fled the location.He was later struck by a car on Shedden Road. The victim remains in critical condition.The RCIPS says around 8.40 a.m. a 46-year-old George Town man turned himself to police in connection with the incident.[video width="1320" height="743" mp4="//"]//

UPDATE: Suspect in custody, pedestrian in critical condition after GT collision

Shedden Road was blocked off on Wednesday morning as investigations were carried out at the scene of the incident.

The roadway is now cleared for use.
