Freedom-Of-Information request reveals details about Governor’s Office

A Foreign and Commonwealth Office Freedom-Of-Information request released this weekend divulged some key points on the Cayman Governor’s post.

It pertained to what the Governor’s role entails, along with other members of staff in that office, as well as, their salaries.

Cayman 27 learned that the Governor’s salary – and his assistant’s salary – are actually paid for by the Cayman Islands Government.

That marks a difference to the other members of staff, who are paid for by the UK government. The salary figures were not released.
