Swimming: Stingray’s Jackson commits to University of Northern Colorado

17-year old Sarah Jackson says she’s committed to attend the University of Norther Colorado in the fall of 2019 on an athletic scholarship.

“I’ve verbally committed to the school, and in the next few weeks I’ll get the details of my scholarship.”

In July, Jackson, along with a group of Stingray swimmers lead by Head Coach David Pursley participated in a summer training camp which included training alongside the University of Northern Colorado swimming staff at their facility.

Jackson says she felt it was a good fit.

“Just getting to know them, I loved the school, loved everything about it. It ticked all the boxes I wanted which were academics, athletics and environment.”

Jackson added her interactions with Head Coach Lisa Ebeling gave her a good feeling.

“For me, having a good relationships with the coach is always something I’ve had. That was really important to me. Her talking to me about the team, and what she wanted, really excited me.”

Ebeling says they’ll provide comment after the National Letter of Intent window opens 14th November.
