100 civil servants prepare for exams in SRIU pilot programme

Formal coursework is underway for 100 civil servants pursuing internationally recognised certifications in project management and business case development.

Facilitators from UK training provider CITI worked with participants Tuesday morning (27 November) at the George Town library, as one of five cohorts prepared for final examinations.

Facilitator David Griffith told Cayman 27 the training can enhance an institution’s decision-making ability.

“It’s about creating better information to help us make our decisions, it’s about better decision making, and it’s critically given you our government and government agencies, it is ensuring that there’s confidence in what you were doing because ultimately it’s taxpayers money,” said Ms. Griffith.

Cayman 27 first told you about this pilot programme from the strategic reforms and implementation unit five months ago when civil servants began online training modules.
