Breaking: Armed robbery at KFC Shedden Road branch

Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery in George Town on Friday (2 November) night.

The RCIPS has confirmed the incident, but say details are limited.

Cayman 27 understands the incident happened around 9 p.m. Witnesses at the scene say a man dressed in all black and wearing a hood entered the fast food outlet.

He was armed with a firearm. He robbed the cashier’s register of an undisclosed sum of cash and ran off.

Police say no shots were fired and there were no injuries.

Police have cordoned off the scene.

The fast food outlet has been closed.

Staff on duty at the time are being interviewed.
