Diver suffers decompression issues, airlifted from Little Cayman

A female diver with a medical emergency was airlifted from Little Cayman on Tuesday (27 November) night.
The team at the RCIPS Air Operations Unit was deployed to assist in transporting the diver.
According to the RCIPS, the chopper collected medical staff and equipment at an eastern district medical facility before heading to the smaller sister island around 4:50 p.m.
Police said the diver suffered decompression issues, forcing the chopper to fly low as it returned.
Upon arrival, the patient was handed over to an unnamed medical facility.

Police did not provide an update on the diver’s condition.
