Football: Future’s Dre Tibbetts strikes second half winner in CIFA Premier League opener

Fresh off a training camp invite with La Liga’s Atletico Madrid, Future Sports Club’s Barry Dre Tibbetts broke open a game long draw to give the 2017/18 President’s Cup winners a 1-0 win over Bodden Town Football Club Saturday (3 November) in round one of the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) Men’s Premier League.

The 16-year old exchanged passes with Brandon Ebanks to start a midfield counter attack, only to surge past the Bodden Town defense on Ebanks’ second touch, gathering a Ebanks through ball and firing home the game winner in the 72nd minute.

“It was a very tight game, very intense, a lot of contact. We managed to fight hard and pull through it.”
