Indian community celebrates 20 years of Diwali in Cayman

Cayman’s local Indian community recently celebrated one their most famous annual Hindu festivals, Diwali.

The Indian community here in Cayman has been celebrating this festival for the last 20 years and one of the members behind it said he’s grateful to have the support of Caymanians as they uphold their traditions.

“In the Cayman Islands we still carry our culture and we are passing it to the next generation. So we are very happy that the Cayman community is very supportive in that and we would like to thank them for that,” said Mr. Abdul Hameed.
