National Tourism Plan expected in Cabinet by 2019

Cayman’s National Tourism Plan is likely to make its way to Cabinet before year’s end.

Deputy Director of Tourism Product Development Gail Henry told Cayman 27 since the public consultation period ended in September, the Department of Tourism has been incorporating the various comments and open-ended feedback.

“I’m not sure if we will actually get the cabinet approval before the end of this year, but certainly in terms of, the document itself, like finalizing the document for submission to them, we are working towards that,” said Ms. Henry.

The 50-page draft document Cayman 27 previewed in September emphasised visitor management and sustainability.
