Opportunities to study in Canada, for students of Cayman

Are you or members of your family thinking about university in Canada? If not, the Canadian Trade Commission wants to change your mind.

Ten Canadian schools were set up at the Cayman International School on Friday (2 November) to explain more about the opportunities on offer.

Richard York of the Canadian High Commission explained why they were worth considering.

“It is a multi-cultural society so people feel welcomed and included in Canada, it’s a safe country as well,” Mr. York explained.

“The greatest thing is the quality of the education is on a par with some of the best schools around the world,” he said, adding: “the cost of studying in Canada is about 30-35% lower than comparable schools in the US or UK.”
