A 21-year-old male motorcyclist is facing 8 charges on Tuesday (13 November) after he and another rider triggered an air and land pursuit over the weekend.
The incident happened just after 4:20 p.m. on Saturday (10 November.)
Police said they responded to a report of two males on motorbikes riding erratically and doing stunts on a public road. The police chopper picked up the riders on the Esterly Tibbetts highway. They were signalled to stop, but instead, the riders separated as they entered West Bay.
One of the riders was followed by the Air Operations Unit and later intercepted by the patrol officers in cars. The rider abandoned the motorcycle in the Boatswain Bay area of West Bay and ran into a nearby store.
Police said the man behaved aggressively when confronted.
He was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without being qualified, driving without insurance and resisting arrest.
Police said the motorcycle he was riding was stolen back in August.
