Leos lead the way: Public beach cabanas get facelift

Cayman’s Leo Clubs were out in full force this weekend sprucing up cabanas at public beach.
Armed with paint and brushes Cayman’s young community activists put in some serious elbow grease into beautifying the surroundings at the popular West Bay beach.

Project Coordinator Daniel Reid said the benefits of the project were not only physical.
“They are learning the value of actually doing projects and giving back and these are all soft skills they will use as they get into adulthood. So I think it is beneficially all around. It is helping the community and it is also helping the development as leaders and future adults in our society,” said Mr. Reid.
The project was a collaboration between the Dart group and the clubs.

Mr. Reid said the next project will tackle recycling in Cayman.
