A National Training Council has been established, tasked with helping develop technical and vocational programmes for the country.
A terms of reference needs to be set, but Employment Minister Hon. Tara Rivers says the training must lead to actual gainful employment.
She also said it took a while to get this council in place because she wanted to make sure the the direction for the group was clear and attainable.
Minister Rivers made her comment on The Panel.
