Weekend shooting investigated

A man is being treated at the Cayman Islands Hospital for gunshot wounds.

Police say they received word 3:25am Sunday 7 August a man was shot in the Grescott Lane area of George Town. The man was taken to hospital before police arrived on the scene.

Investigations continue.

Police are appealing to witnesses to get in touch with the CID at George Town Police Station at . If you have information about this or any other crime, please call or 800 TIPS to remain anonymous.
