SDKA International to donate boxing equipment to new Bodden Town gym

The Island Rumble 2017, is set for Saturday January 7, hosted by boxing super star Manny Pacquiao at Camana Bay’s Festival Green.

The news comes as organizers announce more details about the event, including news that Luis Cuba Arias undefeated and rising middleweight champion will also be in attendance.

At a press conference held today, Managing Partner of CMG Events, Matthew Leslie along with the Chairman of SDKA International, Gurps Ria, discussed the benefits this event will provide for Cayman including plans for the group to donate equipment to the new boxing gym planned for Bodden Town.

Mr. Leslie says, “They have graciously donated a brand new boxing ring and equipment towards this event which will then be turned over to the Cayman Islands Government and the Boxing Association to upgrade and install in the new gym.

Mr. Ria says “Being a part of this event is literally in the mantra of our company we believe in human elevation. Being apart of this and helping with this gym, is a way people so they can escape from their regular, daily troubles. We are really thankful to be apart of this.”

Pacquiao will also be breaking ground to the new $500,000 boxing gym in Bodden Town. The Island Rumble is set to feature some well known celebrity guests.
