Netball shoots with 8 new clubs

The Cayman Islands Netball Association is expanding, with 8 new clubs on the horizon. Netball Technical Director Violet Corbin says it is time to have netball clubs in all districts.

“I felt we needed to decentralized ourselves from George Town and be in the districts were people live. So we have club starting in Savannah and Bodden Town, we do a session in the evening at Red Bay but it is not the club. We have four clubs in George Town and one in West Bay so for those teams we need bodies now.

The Netball Association will be holding a club signing day on Saturday 17 September from 9:00 am. The association is currently fundraising for a much-needed bus and their goal is to raise enough funds for a 15 seater bus.
