Premier not surprised by US election outcome

Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin also says he is not at all surprised by the outcome of the US election, with businessman Donald Trump rising to victory in what some term as a stunning win.

The premier said he realised about six months ago, what some thought impossible was likely to become a reality. While he says he was horrified by some of Mr. Trump’s comments, particularly those denigrating women, he could see why secretary Hillary Clinton lost the vote.

The Premier spoke on a several matters on this week’s The Panel, giving the country an update after his latest trip to London for the Joint Ministerial Council meeting. You can see the show in its entirety here.
