Police end water searches for missing Cayman Brac man

Police end their water search for 54-year-old Linvol Smith. He’s the Cayman Brac man who disappeared on Friday (18 May.)

According to police, Mr. Smith was reported missing Saturday (19 May) morning after he did not turn up for work. Police said he told friends he was going snorkeling or swimming Friday. Police said clothes believed to belong to Mr. Smith were found in the vicinity of Scott’s dock.

Cayman Brac residents conducted searches throughout the weekend while a police dive team arrived on Sunday (20 May.)

In a statement on Tuesday (22 May) the RCIPS said based on weather conditions they believe further underwater searches are unlikely to be successful.

Anyone with information on Mr. Smith is asked to contact the Cayman Brac police station at .
