Rugby: Cayman defeats Bermuda 28-15

RHSW Cayman’s National Rugby team faced off against Bermuda this past weekend in game two of their draw in the Americas North Championships.

Cayman got off to a fast start as they lead 17-0 at the end of the first half. Both teams started the second half hot, with Cayman scoring a try and Bermuda scoring two quick tries but failing to make the conversions. Morgan Hayward made 2 penalty kicks late in the game to give Cayman a 28-10 lead. Bermuda was able score another try in the final miss but again missed the conversion, as Cayman went on to win 28-15.

Next up for Cayman Rugby is the third and final game of the draw in ‘Big Game 8’ versus Mexico on 17th June at the Truman Bodden Sports complex.
