A Cayman Airways flight Wednesday (27 December) evening made an emergency landing at the Owen Roberts International Airport, a Cayman Islands Airports Authority spokesperson confirms.

The flight was inbound from Chicago. Police blocked off roads around the airport as is typical in an emergency landing situation.

No other details were available.

An email sent to a Cayman Airways spokesperson was returned with an out of the office response.
